The 2BT October Newsletter: This Month was 10 Weeks Long
If there is one thing we can say about 2020 it's that it has been consistent - consistently horrible! In the last month, we witnessed the horrifying scenes from Nigeria’s Lekki Tollgate Massacre that has claimed at least 15 lives. The massacre was a result of the Nigerian Army opening fire on a group of peaceful END SARS protesters at Lekki Tollgate Plaza in Lagos. We reached out to fellow podcaster and writer Tola, aka @AfroVII who was able to give a detailed and nuanced explanation of the situation in Nigeria and #ENDSARS protests.
Goodbye King Cal_Vin
In more tragic news, we lost a friend to the podcast and most importantly a Zimbabwean Hip-Hop King, Cal_Vin to what seems to have been a heartless hit and run murder. We tried our best to pay homage to Cal_Vin in this episode.
October Talktober
Luckily things were not all glum this month, it feels a little weird to celebrate at a time like this, but October was the BIGGEST month we have ever had on the podcast! Every week the podcast is now downloaded by over 30,000 subscribers! (Advertisers take note)
We also caught up with Pop Star Shingai to talk about her new album, why she always bumps into Dan at odd locations and her plans for the next year.
We also looked into Jah Master’s impeccable kicking form as he let us know why he did not need God to intervene physically for him, we discussed why both men and women were literally falling over themselves to embarrass themselves at Ginimbi's birthday party, the breakdown of the Levels versus Tamuka battle that kinda happened, Stormzy being beaten in a beef by a comedian, why Phil is a massive hater and why Winky D needs to switch up strategy.

In the final live episode of the year, Dan & Phil unite with half of lil bro podcast 6Ft Weights to review the biggest stories of the year and give each other an opportunity to revise our takes at the time.
